Scooter Hit

An elderly male is being treated for apparent non life threatening injuries after he, and his scooter, were knocked down by a vehicle.

The incident happened at just after 1:30 p.m. Monday. The gentleman was riding his scooter on the west sidewalk of Richter Ave, and was traveling towards KLO Rd.

A 63 year old Kelowna woman, who was making a right turn from the Mission Park Mall onto Richter Ave.  apparently did not see the scooter, and hit it, knocking the scooter over and spilling the elderly man onto the street.

The victim was treated by ambulance at the scene and was taken to Kelowna General Hospital.

His scooter was trapped under the front bumper of the car, which had to be lifted off.
